Apparently under development by one of three Sony development teams (Sony London, Evolution, or Firesprite), the WipeOut franchise is set to allegedly make its long awaited and super HD return on the PS4. A smash-hit on the original Playstation and still quite popular to this day, the WipeOut franchise seems perfect for the PS4's visual capabilities and should be a thrill ride and a half. Imaging speeding through the crazy tracks of the WipeOut franchise in 1080p, with sparks flying and detail positively oozing from every crevice. We're practically drooling already. No release date yet for this one, but expect whichever studio working on this one to be beavering away hard on making it look spectacular.
