10. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BivVXw-NLTw A lot of gamers cite The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings as one of the best examples of modern gaming ever, so to say that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt looks even better than that game says a lot about what developers CD Projekt RED have achieved. It's unique presentation and compelling game play mechanics look to make it just as fantastic as The Witcher 2, putting players into an enormous open world that is yours to hunt in. Visually, it was one of the standouts of the conference, as the believable open-world looks very lived in and realistic. The demo shows Geralt on a hunt for a large griffin creature, putting the game's tracking mechanics at the forefront. It's an exciting sense of pride as you imagine what other types of creatures you might be able to track down in the game, opening up a huge world of possibilities. Even more intriguing was the concept of randomness to the world, as the player was side-tracked during their hunt to help a herbalist by brutally slaying her attackers. It all helps the world feel alive, promising an open-world experience that is unlike any other.
