E3 2012: The Joker Introduces DC Universe Online "Last Laugh" DLC
Mark Hammill's Joker returns to the DCU Online for the fourth DLC pack.
As we wait for the conferences and multi-various unveilings of this year's E3, little bits and pieces of news are trickling out, including this Joker-led trailer for the latest DLC for DC Universe Online. The trailer introduces the "Last Laugh" DLC, using the iconic and instantly recognisable vocals of long-time Batman voice talent Mark Hammill... http://youtu.be/HnsrqeXvB5o So much for Hammill's claim that he would no longer be lending his voice to Batman's chief foe, eh?! The "Last Laugh" DLC pack will be predominantly focused on Legends PvP play, as suggested in the trailer and will also include a new shield weapon, new characters, four new safe house battles, and 8v8 throw-downs in both the Watchtower and the Hall of Doom. Here's the full list of what the pack contains... The Shield Players can unleash this vicious new weapon to bash their opponents, or hurl it to take them down from a distance. Safe House Battles No one is safe now that heroes and villains can invade each other's Safe Houses in these four on four battles. Graviton Technology Recovery Players will be tasked with retrieving cutting-edge technology from the hero and villain safe houses. It's a mad dash to grab the most gravitron singularity capsules! The Rescue Heroes must rescue hostages, while Villains will be freeing arrested criminals from opposing Safe Houses. Bomb Disposal Stockpiles of explosives have been remotely armed by a mischievous third party. Players must gain control of the Bomb Squad's mech and either neutralize the bombs or use them for dastardly purposes! Headquarter Battles In this two-part crusade, 16 players eight heroes and eight villains will face off for the ultimate player reward. At the request of Superman, heroes must take over the Hall of Doom, while villains, egged on by The Joker, will breach the Watchtower in order to create chaos. Legends Characters Combat illuminates with the introduction of the first light-powered Legends for multiplayer combat. Players will soon have access to Kilowog, a Green Lantern, and Amon Sur, a member of the Sinestro Corps. Returning Joker Mark Hamill will be joined in the DLC by DC stalwart Arleen Sorkin (Harley Quinn), and Adam Baldwin will reprise his Superman role for the first time since DCUO's initial launch. The Last Laugh will be to legendary DCUO members for free from June, while free and premium players will have the option to purchase it from the in-game marketplace, the official website, or the PlayStation Network.
