E3 2012: Tomb Raider Displays Lara's Survival Skills
Lara Croft will need to rely on her Croft family instincts in order to evolve into the heroine we all know and love in this reboot to the Tomb Raider franchise.
Tomb Raider franchise. We got our second glimpse at the ways in which Lara Croft will be tested by the island, and exactly how she will grow to become the insanely, badass adventurer, we have all come to know and love. Lara starts her newest demo by hiding behind a stone wall, and observing the dangers ahead from a distance. Drawing her bow she silently eliminates the farthest adversary, standing alone, he instantly becomes the perfect prey. Launching an arrow into his head, he falls off of a cliff as Lara swiftly focuses her attention to the two men in front of her. Firing a second arrow, the first guard instantly begins to fall to the ground. Swiftly flipping a table, the last remaining guard opens fire and ducks behind cover. The bullets rip into the world around Lara. Each slug tears objects apart as she leaps from cover to cover. The guard reloads, and this is when Lara strikes. She pushes him over the edge. The guard screams as his voice slowly fades away down the cliff side. Tomb Raider will definitely be providing some amazing gameplay when it releases on March 5, 2013. With an open-world, experience based progression system, and a heavy emphasis on survival, adventure fans certainly have something spectacular to look forward to.
