13. All The "ntkrnl" Rumours Were Right
Ever since late January, Xbox One fans had one beacon of hope in a sea of pretty bad news. That was the mysterious neoGAF poster ntkrnl, a Microsoft insider who dropped details on a lot of unannounced, upcoming projects and hardware. He was the first to reveal the details of Sunset Overdrives plot, but he also named a bunch of Microsofts E3 reveals, including the Halo Master Chief Collection, which is all four Halo games remade and/or ported to the Xbox One. ntkrnls leaks being true was probably one of the best things to happen to Microsoft this year. Why? Because it gave Xbox fans something to look forward to and the official reveals gave the fans renewed confidence that the gaming division is going in the right direction. With ntkrnl vindication, people have a lot more reason to believe the Xbox One is a console worth having, instead of the butt of jokes and scorn for its performance.
