Ghost Recon has always been one of the biggest draws of the Tom Clancy franchise, so the series' absence since 2012 had worried a fair few players who believed the franchise was all but dead - especially after Future Soldier bared little resemblance to the titles of old. But just like that, as Yves Guillemot closed off another successful Ubisoft conference, the trailer for Wildlands started rolling - and players should have every reason to get excited about it. An open world tactical TPS with integrated Co-Op and vehicular gameplay sounds like an almost unattainable goal, but that's exactly what the folks at Ubisoft Paris have set out to do with this long awaited sequel to the Ghost Recon series. Taking on the role of a Ghost (fully customisable by the looks of things) in the player's speciality of choice, Wildlands sees the elite group take to the mountains of Central and South America to combat the vicious drug cartels that control the region - and dismantling these organisations looks like an absolute treat to partake in. Taking tactical gameplay to a whole new level entirely, the latest Ghost Recon allows players to execute their orders in any manner they wish to, whether that be by stealth, by ambush, or by long range. Would-be Ghosts even get the choice of either capturing, executing, or leaving their target by the time their mission is executed - influencing the events of the story in real time and in particular the strength of the various drug cartels in the process. Quite simply, Wildlands is a revelation that will have players talking long after E3 shuts its doors once more. Ubisoft, you've done it again. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WdJub3Kz2wI
