E3 2016: 6 Ups & 4 Downs From Ubisoft's Conference
3. South Park: The Fractured But Whole Steals The Show
In arguably the most entertaining segment of the whole show, we got a ton of new gameplay from South Park: The Fractured But Whole as well as a December 6th release date.
The plot will pick up from the end of The Stick of Truth, and while the first game was heavily influenced by RPG culture, this sequel will lampoon the current obsession with everything superhero.
The protagonist is caught in the middle of what's basically the Civil War storyline, as the South Park kids become divided over which young superheroes should get their own movies in which phases and so on. In short, it looks hysterically funny.
In addition, the game will now feature enhanced movement options and improved combat (by far the most vocal complaint about the original), allowing you to knock enemies into objects and even chain attacks with nearby allies.
Considering how brilliant the original game was and the sharp satirical stab this one's taking at the hottest movie properties going right now, this will almost certainly end up as one of 2016's best games.
