15. Ubisoft's Weirdly Not-Cringey Conference

Talking of cringe, one of this year's big surprises is that the Ubisoft conference was, for the first time in as long as most can even remember, not an absolute cringe-fest.

With Aisha Tyler not bringing her trying-too-hard shtick to this year's show and the Just Dance segment being mercifully short, it was a weirdly not-terrible showing for Ubisoft, who typically come off as tone-deaf and pandering to old white executives rather than actual gamers.

It's an encouraging step forward for the company, even if the fact that they put on one of the week's most consistent conferences really just speaks to how thoroughly mediocre this year's E3 has been on the whole. Will it be back to business as usual next year or not? We'll have to wait and see.
