E3 2017: 18 Biggest WTF Moments
13. Forza Motorsport 7 Accidentally Invokes 9/11
Turn 10 Studios' Creative Director, Dan Greenawalt, came to the stage during Microsoft's conference to promote Forza Motorsport 7, and began by announcing the reveal of a flagship supercar on the E3 stage for the first time in history.
Cue the reveal of the very sexy-looking 2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS, and though the Porsche 911 has been in existence in various models for over 50 years, that didn't stop many remarking how unfortunate it was to have a car seemingly named after a terrorist attack.
Greenawalt probably didn't help things much himself, though, when he called the vehicle "the most powerful 911 ever made", but at the end of the day, changing the name would probably be letting the terrorists win. Still, calling it the "nine-one-one" would've prevented the PR embarrassment.
