E3 2017: 6 Ups & 4 Downs From Bethesda's Conference

4. Skyrim Gets Amiibo Support & Motion Controls On Nintendo Switch...Because Why Not?

Bethesda showed off Skyrim for the Switch, and though the appearance of a five-year-old game has only a limited player appeal, the portable version of the game has at least been adorned with some amusing new features.

Firstly, the Switch Skyrim has Amiibo support, with Zelda: Breath of the Wild's archer Link figure essentially unlocking a buff in-game version of the character, costume, weapon and all.

The game will also come with motion controls for the Joy-Con controllers, allowing players to fire arrows and slash swords in more tactile fashion. It's goofy and ridiculous for sure, but suits the Nintendo brand just fine.
