Easily Sea of Thieves' biggest problem is the lack of content, so it's safe to say that Rare and Microsoft will probably be in a rush to reassure that more is coming for it.

Really if Sea of Thieves had launched with more things for players to do, it might have actually been a much bigger hit. Everything else about the game was well received, and it's definitely got an audience of its own.

The recent release of the game's first batch of DLC has improved the experience quite a lot, but that doesn't mean Rare should stop there. To keep one of their biggest releases up, they need to keep pumping out the content for it, like Nintendo did with Splatoon.

As such, it won't be surprising when Microsoft choose to show some upcoming content for Sea of Thieves and why people should continue playing it. With Crackdown 3 being delayed until 2019, they need to focus on making their current games much bigger.
