E3 2018: 10 Things That Must Happen At Sony's Conference
2. Backwards Compatibility
The one big thing that Microsoft has over PlayStation at the moment is the fact that the PS4 doesn't have any backwards compatibility. It's time that changes.
When you consider how big of a reaction Microsoft received for letting Xbox gamers play their old games on the new console, it's no surprise that Sony would want to replicate that.
As it stands right now, the closest thing that PlayStation has to backwards compatibility are the endless HD remasters and PlayStation Now. PS Now is an extremely unpopular service because it relies entirely on streaming, which makes it really unreliable and glitchy. Big library aside, it needs to go.
Even if getting rid of PS Now meant a big loss for Sony, the ability to play PS3 games on your PS4 would definitely be worth it.
The only thing that would get as much applause would be the ability to change PSN names. For the record, that'd be pretty good too Sony.
