9. Contra: Rogue Corps
At last! A brand new Contra game, finally something wholesome to help us recover from Animal Crossing's excessive violence.
Fans have been asking for a new entry for quite some time and this looks the business. Gloriously OTT, you can play as a gun toting cyborg panda, it looks to retain the gnarly Xtreme aesthetic of previous entries as well as bringing the action up to date.
How it will play is still a mystery but it looks to alternate between a top down, twin stick, shooter view as well as 3rd person and traditional side scrolling perspective.
As an extra sweet cherry on top the anniversary edition was dropped mere moments later so you can find out what all the fuss is about.
Not to sound too ungrateful but it would be great to see an HD version of the DS' Contra 4, just saying.
