Remember the complete tire fire that was Command & Conquer: Rivals' unveiling?

After years of the franchise barely being addressed by an EA focusing on the most overblown experiences possible, we finally got word that another C&C was coming - it would just be a Clash Royale clone, and it would be mobile-only.

Naturally, this didn't so much ruffle feathers as pluck them right off and make pillows, leading to a gargantuan post from EA's Jim Vessella on the franchise's main Reddit page, assuring everyone that things would be okay in time. To amend, EA would be launching a "remaster initiative", rolling together C&C: Tiberian Dawn and Red Alert alongside DLC Covert Ops, Counterstrike and Aftermath into one package.

Vessella noted that he's a huge fan of the series, and development would be starting soon, with Petroglyph Games and Lemon Sky assisting to bring everything together.

Now 6 months on, you have to imagine they have something to show - especially with EA booking show floor space at E3 itself. Could we maybe see Tim Curry front the trailer?

Here's hoping.
