Arguably the real winner of E3 2021 wasn't a single publisher or video game so much as it was Xbox Game Pass itself, a service which has grown by orders of magnitude over the last few years, and looks set to become further dominant over the next 12 months.

Of the 30 games shown off during the Microsoft/Bethesda show, 27 of them will be releasing on Game Pass day one, and throughout their 90-minute livestream, they revealed a ton of release dates for titles both hotly anticipated and brand new.

The more prominent dates include: 12 Minutes (August 19), Psychonauts 2 (August 25), Age of Empires IV (October 28), Shredders (December), S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl (April 28, 2022), and in the "TBA 2022" stakes, we have Party Animals, Somerville, Slime Rancher 2, and Replaced.

Between this and everything else announced for Game Pass during the show, it was another extremely persuasive argument for the subscription service truly being the best deal in gaming.
