12. Rainbow Six Extraction Takes The Series To Sci-Fi Territory, Releases September 16
In the days leading up to E3, Ubisoft confirmed that Rainbow Six Quarantine - which was first introduced at E3 2019 - had been renamed Rainbow Six Extraction, before giving the game a full glossy reveal during their Ubisoft Forward livestream.
While the 2019 teaser trailer heavily implied a turn towards the sci-fi genre, the full blowout for Extraction confirms the game will see players teaming up in groups of three to battle hordes of mutated alien creatures called Archaeans - a far cry from the series' more gritty and grounded roots.
As much as the game looks pretty out there for Rainbow Six, it isn't straying entirely from what made Siege such a hit, as players will be able to use their favourite Siege Operators in the game.
Rainbow Six Extraction is set to release on September 16 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
