E3 2021: 7 Biggest Announcements From Square Enix Presents

6. Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster

Of the original six Final Fantasy games, America only got three of them and us Europeans got none of them - at least with the original releases.

With the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster games, the first six games are finally going to be easily accessible.

Now that we're going to have all of these games easily accessible, all is right in the world, right? Well, not quite. It turns out these games are only coming to Steam and mobile devices. The lack of console ports, especially a Switch version, is disappointing to say the least.

Also more bad news. This isn't a collection.

Many assumed that these would be released as a bundle as the 30-second trailer makes it look like that. Square Enix later clarified in their official press release that these games are being released separately.

Finally, it appears that these are faithful versions of the original games, but once again the trailer is a bit vague on that. Square Enix described the games in a tweet as getting a "pixel-perfect makeover" which kind of implies that they will be faithful to the original.
