8. Smart User Interface

One of the biggest complaints about THQ€™s series of UFC games was the clunky, sluggish user interface which not only looked uninspiring but was also pretty difficult to use. Not only was it an arduous affair to create a virtual fight but once you had set the ball-rolling you had to skip through about one hundred different mini-cutscenes to fight. In short €“ the highly playable THQ UFC game was hurt by the poor execution. Skip forward to 2014 and we now have EA handling the UFC rights. To UFC fans the world over the initial announcement would have come as very welcome news as any gamer knows that EA are the world€™s best at not only creating superb sports games each-and-every year but also for kitting these games out with a gorgeous, functional user interface. Lo and behold, EA have delivered what their lofty reputation promised. They have imported the same smart user interface they€™ve used in their other sporting franchises like FIFA to excellent effect. This super crisp hub looks great and adapts to your playing preferences, giving you easy access to the last game-mode you played.
