EA Sports UFC 2: 10 Essential Fixes That Must Be Made
8. Gender Equality For Career Mode
If you've seen the stunning (and deadly) "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey in action inside the octagon, you will know that the fairer sex has more than earned a place in the UFC. Rousey and the rest of the hard-as-nails girls who run rampant in the UFC Women's Bantamweight Division have proven that this isn't just a man's sport anymore. With the addition of a Women's Strawweight Division on the way it looks like this isn't just a passing phase - the ladies are here to stay. And rightly so; seeing gender equality in a sport like this shows young girls in the gaming audience that anything is possible. All of this makes it particularly strange that it was decided to turn the EA Sports UFC career into a boys club. Let's be generous and assume that it was purely because there aren't enough women involved in the UFC at the moment to create a fully realized career campaign. But with two full divisions to play with things should look a lot brighter for their inclusion for the EA Sports UFC follow-up. These girls are just as exciting to watch in the octagon, if not more so, and you can be sure that a large portion of the UFC gaming crowd would relish the opportunity to create a female brawler and guide her to championship gold.
Game-obsessed since the moment I could twiddle both thumbs independently. Equally enthralled by all the genres of music that your parents warned you about.
