EA Sports UFC 2: 10 Essential Fixes That Must Be Made
3. Expanded Creation Features
Not everyone enjoys (or even bothers to use) the suite of creation tools which come bundled with WWE titles, but this deeply customizable system opens a whole new world for those who've taken the time to get to grips with it. Professional wrestling is a far more flamboyant form of entertainment than the UFC, so it is probably better suited to over-the-top entrance sequences, custom championships with user-designed belts, outfits and arenas, but EA Canada needs to carry at least a touch of that over to the MMA realm. In EA Sports UFC your creation options are limited to the bare essentials by today's standards. Noone don't expect EA Canada to take it to WWE extremes, but they really could flesh it out a little for the next franchise entry. At least implement a deeper level of facial construction variables - the available selection of preset mugs makes it tricky to build a fighter who doesn't look like a grumpy caveman who's just been told an offensive joke. Add a few stadium entrance options to tweak (and for heaven's sake, give us a few more worthwhile songs to walk out to), perhaps an option to create fight camps, and they'll be on to a good thing. It's all about allowing gamers to create an MMA experience that is uniquely their own.
