EA Sports UFC 2: 10 Highest Rated Pound-For-Pound Fighters

9. Luke Rockhold (93)

Luke Rockhold was born into a sporting family, with his father being a professional basketball player and his mother being a more than respectable tennis player. Neither of those sports appeared to the American as a child, however, and he instead pursued combat-based sports as extra-curriculur activities. Though he initially enjoyed wrestling, he quit when he left school due to his preference for jiu-jitsu, which he felt was better suited to his flexible body and tall frame. He then experimented with kickboxing, before finally moving into MMA in 2007. Rockhold was recently crowned the UFC Middleweight champion at UFC 194 after scoring an impressive TKO victory over Chris Weidman. As of March 7, he is ranked as the number three pound-for-pound fighter in the UFC, and his MMA record stands at a credible 15-2.His next bout is yet to be announced, with the American enjoying some well-earned time off. Aside from fighting, the 31 year-old enjoys both surfing and skating in his native California, where he also trains. His kickboxing days highlight Rockhold as one of the most impressive stand-up fighters on the planet, which has been acknowledged by EA in-game with a 97 stand-up rating.
