EA UFC 4: 10 Things We Want To See

8. An Improved Career Mode

The career mode in the EA UFC games has been improving in every successive release but there's still a long way to go before you could call it great.

The issue with the career mode in EA UFC 3 is that the lack of fighter retirements means that you can find yourself facing a 51-year-old Daniel Cormier for the UFC Heavyweight Championship having already fought him five times. Adding a variety of AI-generated fighters to compete against at the highest levels of the UFC would make the career mode much more replayable.

One thing that the most recent installation of the series definitely got right was the ability to choose an existing fighter to compete in career mode with. I mean, who wouldn't want to right the heinous wrong of UFC 230, and get Derrick Lewis all the way up to his rightful place at the top of the heavyweight division?

But if EA really wants to make career mode a feature that has fans utterly enthralled in the action in EA UFC 4, they should take inspiration for the mode from the stellar storytelling and legendary action from their own Fight Night boxing games.
