Elden Ring - 6 CONFIRMED Details About G.R.R. Martin & FromSoftware's RPG

2. FromSoftware's Biggest Game Yet

After Bloodborne, we can now say FromSoftware began work on two projects. Of course, Sekiro released in 2019 and was ostensibly another refined take on the "Souls-style" formula, albeit putting the emphasis on parrying, where Souls and Bloodborne necessitated blocking and dodging respectively.

Now that Elden Rune has come to light, I have to imagine it's here where the company's next big stride comes into view.

Yes, Bloodborne was created for Sony and Sekiro for Activision, but with Elden Ring, they're returning to Namco Bandai, the studio that published Demon's Souls back in 2009 and helped make the franchise what it is today.

With that in mind, Elden Ring is touted as FromSoft's biggest game yet, which is understandable given the mammoth task of designing an open environment filled with meaningful encounters and bosses to track down.

The next full evolution of the Souls template? It's likely to be this.
