The very first Batman game released three years before the arrival of Tim Burton's Batman and was also critically well received.

There isn't exactly a lot of depth to the game though. It revolves around Batman having to rescue Robin by procuring certain items hidden around the Batcave to then create the Bat hovercraft (??), but it's still an admirable first attempt.
