Taking all the principles of retro 2D Zelda but then mixing it with the depth of exploration of a 3D Zelda, Skellboy look to strike a fun balance between that iconic franchise and a dark sense of humour.

It also appears to avoids the tired tropes of the Tolkein-esque fantasy genre by instead dipping into a Gothic world closer to classic Tim Burton.
