2. Spider-Man

Few things are as blatantly playable as Spider-Man games. Every entry in the wall-crawler's pantheon has alternated between open-world swinging and more brawler-heavy combat - all of which made the best use of Spidey's array of body-slamming, sense-dodging powers.

For Sucker Punch's game, they've really taken their sweet time making sure this PS4 debut is outstanding. Combat is very much the Arkham model and swinging is like a physics-heavy blend of 2004's movie tie-in, and 2008's Web of Shadows.

Graphically this version of New York is looking outstanding, and if the devs can bring everything together we can maybe, finally, can get a new medium best that beats that 2004 PS2 release.
