Every Major PS4 Exclusive - Ranked From Worst To Best
15. Killzone: Shadow Fall
Try as it might, Killzone was never to Halo what the likes of Saints Row was to GTA, failing at almost every turn to carve out an identity of its own - outside of the iconic Helghast masks, anyway.
For Shadow Fall, despite looking stunning in spots, the base gameplay feel was just as rote as before, seeing enemies crumple to the floor like crate paper and weapons kick with the power of a sprained limb. Developer Guerrilla's heart was in the right place, but for Killzone's duration you always felt like it was Sony ordering more sequels to compete with the other marquee shooters of the world - a mentality exemplified in the breath of fresh air that became Horizon Zero Dawn.
Let's just hope the team aren't forced into doing more in the future.
