Announced in 2014 and showcased at Sony conferences over the next year or so, the survival game WiLD was troubled from the very beginning.

Although the central conceit of taking control of different animals to solve puzzles and battle enemies was sound, the dated graphics and bland art style made many wonder why the game was repeatedly being showcased as if it was a major release.

But since then the title has gone completely dark, and it's been almost two years since we saw anything new from WiLD.

In February, director Michel Ancel promised that the game was still in active development, but if there hasn't been a radical overhaul when (or if) it's re-announced, then the future doesn't look bright for this strange little title.
