Everything PS5 Does BETTER Than Xbox Series X

4. Dedication To Platform Exclusives Going Forward

Yet another massive swerve in how console manufacturers do business, Xbox aren't bothered about supplanting their new system with platform exclusives until at least 2022.

Literally meaning everything - including Halo Infinite - will be playable on your existing Xbox One, One S or One X, Xbox's Matt Booty noted that "over the next two years, all of our games, sort of like PC, will play up and down that family of devices".

Great news for those of us who can't afford the new console, but the remarks kinda render the Series X largely pointless, as either the cheaper Series S or even an Xbox One X would likely play "next gen" titles to a satisfying standard.

Booty followed up by saying the team "want to make sure that if someone invests in Xbox between now and Series X, they feel that they made a good investment and that we're committed to them with content".

Again, super admirable, but depending on what you want out of a new console i.e. games that only work on that system, Sony are committed to delivering across 2021 and beyond.
