Everything PS5 Does BETTER Than Xbox Series X

2. New Controller Features & Haptic Feedback

It remains to be seen whether the DualSense's exclusive features are a gimmick or something that can be meaningfully iterated on.

Examples are the haptic triggers and various motors within; something where the latter can simulate a character walking on sand, snow or mud, based on how the controller feels to use.

Haptic triggers apparently "fight" your finger when a gun jams in an action game, as an example, or you can feel the pressure building when drawing a bowstring back with a bow and arrow.

I've already covered the built-in speaker/microphone combo, but all-round it's a marked attempt at innovation. On Microsoft's side - like back in 2013 - they've played the "if it ain't broke" card, iterating in various quality of life ways, rather than exceeding expectations.

Again though, all of the DualSense's features could be resigned to Astro's Playroom, then like the PS3's SixAxis or the PS4's LED light or touch pad, we never see them used for anything meaningful.
