Daily Challenges will add more of a purpose to playing the game in different ways constantly, as once you've unlocked and achieved character mastery with everyone, you'll find yourself playing with a character because you know it works - not to venture into uncharted territory. 

The recent community challenges have been brilliant - setting a huge goal for players to contribute towards to unlock a special skin. Turtle Rock's first challenge was to win 35,000 matches with Griffin in your team, and the recent one was to chuck 1,000,000 rocks as the Goliath - both targets were achieved. 

The addition of those challenges showed that more players were willing to help out and partake, because it's something different than aimlessly running the Evacuation's over and over, not to mention free skins. Daily Challenges would help keep the game fresh and help the game from abruptly burning out, with the unlocks being a new emblem or even a potential weapon or character skin after completing numerous challenges in a row.
