Fallout: 10 Most Evil Companies

6. Pulowski Preservation Services

Much like Vault-Tec, Pulowski Preservation Services exists purely because someone noticed the fear building in the American public right before the great war and saw it as an opportunity to make some cash. Their only product, the Pulowski preservation shelter, was a tiny, one-person, coin-operated nuclear fallout shelter that was seen as a more affordable alternative to the vaults.

Sadly, these machines were never intended to actually protect people and were instead a money-making scheme by the company to construct extremely cheap, useless metal tubes and charge the public every time they're used for nuclear attack drills (which were fairly common).

While they did protect quite well against explosions, they were not shielded at all against radiation and had no internal food or water supply. All you get is an air supply and a helpful little sign that reads "Wait for radiation to clear. Enjoy your stay."

Unsurprisingly, the Pulowski preservation shelters succeeded only in making money and prolonging the death of anyone dumb enough to trust a coin-operated fallout shelter.
