Fallout 4: 10 Brand New Mods You Need To See (Feb 2016)

New Vegas armour, castle-building and... 'crafting' your own dog?!

My word, Fallout 4 is a game that just keeps on giving, isn't it? Here we are, almost three months after the official release of the base game, and new content continues to flood through the gates to satiate fan demand for sparkly new stuff to experience. You can bet your bottom dollar that Bethesda are hard at work right now cooking up their first batch of official DLC, but while fans wait for that - modders are the go-to source for inventive new ways to play and improvements on what's already present. Everything, ranging from small tweaks to existing combat mechanics (thank God for this first entry), to quality of life improvements involving settlements and finally; totally insane ideas like crafting your own animals as a means of defence, are just a taster of the sorts of benefits mods can bring to the table. But enough talk. Check out the 10 hottest mods available right now and get downloading...

10. Safe Landing

(Download it here) Power armour is great; it gives you a sense of unbridled power that other games can't match, despite trying their hardest to do so. Inserting yourself into its bulky frame like a not-as-frigging-rich Tony Stark is already enough to send the counter on the badass scale into overload, but actually deploying it in the field is a whole other story. Bullets go limp as soon as they make contact, physical attackers recoil off you in agony and ground-pounding the dirt beneath you from great heights sends all surrounding life into a state of fear and concussion. Nobody is safe, not even your friends. That's right, if you're tired of causing your companions and settlers to go hostile whenever you enter a spate of frenzied floor smashing, this mod will eliminate that frustration entirely by removing its ability to cause damage to friendlies. Rejoice, Sole Survivors, you can now cause earthquakes without fear of making your fictional friends hate you.
