Fallout 4: 10 Essential Survival Tips For New Players

6. Remember To Remove Mods Before Scrapping Weapons

If you've started dabbling with weapons customisation, you may have been working under the assumption that once you've modded a weapon, you can't disassemble it again. That's not the case, and if you're thinking of converting an old weapon into scrap so that it can later be turned into a shack in your settlement (up-cycling at its finest), then remember to take the mods off it first. Likewise, check unwanted weapons you find in the wasteland for mods, because there's a good chance you'll be able to add them to your own weapons. But keep an eye on your inventory when chopping and changing mods around. Mods are pretty weighty, and if you replace one with another, then the one you're not using goes into your inventory, using up precious space and weight capacity. To avoid this problem, store your old mods at a workshop you've designated as your main one.
