Fallout 4: 10 Most Important Mods Every Player Needs

9. True Storms €“ Wasteland Edition

The Wasteland is a grim, bleak place. Predicting nuclear winter or radioactive dust storms coming over the horizon is a particularly difficult task. And nothing is worse than setting up a lovely Mole Rat barbecue with the members of your settlement, only to have it ruined by some nasty storms sending the whole thing into complete disarray. Damn you, Mother Nature, for getting revenge on the race that quintessentially annihilated your creations with nuclear warfare! Damn you, we say! (*shakes fist angrily*).

Yelling at clouds aside, for those who truly want to push the boundaries of the game's weather patterns, the True Storms mod will be of interest to you. This was previously available for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, but it has now been applied to Bethesda's latest RPG with some enhancements and upgrades. New sound effects and improved visuals will give the environment more of a sinister ambience to it all.

Radioactive rain will fall down hard, dust particles fly around carelessly, and fog will seriously diminish your view of what lies ahead. The mod also comes with a user-friendly interface to help players alter the patterns to their liking as well, in case things are too much of a pain in the backside, or perhaps you left your lead-lined umbrella back at home.
