Dialogue selection has been overhauled in FO4...and not for the better. Now players are given four options, one good, one bad, one sarcastic and one vague, all described by just a few words which often don't even give enough context to indicate their true intent. Compare this to the last two FO games, where you could choose from full sentences which weren't so evidently signposted towards a certain inclination. In this regard, FO4 is an unmistakable step back, and there doesn't seem to be much more reason for it than laziness on Bethesda's part: it's extremely infuriating when you misinterpret what a dialogue command says, possibly resulting in a conversation that doesn't go your way. Wouldn't it be so much more interesting if the character's moral trajectory wasn't laid out quite so blatantly?
