There's nothing weird nor especially hilarious about this one: it's just totally bada** instead. If you've not gotten a hold of the Mini-Nuke launcher yet, you'll likely still be aware that it causes an absolute crapton of damage to anything in the vicinity. But what about 30? Well, there's your answer: you pretty much won't be able to see anything for about 10 seconds as the explosions liquify anything nearby, but of course, this being Fallout, the environment itself doesn't look anymore dilapidated than usual.
