Fallout 4: 5 Things That Will Happen (And 5 That Should)
4. A Boston Affair
The home of the beautiful Massachusetts State House, the Red Sox and the fallen giants the Celtics, Boston may be set to play virtual host to the next instalment in the blockbuster roleplaying franchise. As it stands, all signs point in the direction of Boston. Bethesda went to great lengths to establish the lore of the region in Fallout 3, describing how after being crushed by the nuclear attacks Massachusetts reformed to become the Commonwealth. Augmenting this New England-lore further is the existing conflict between the Institute (formerly M.I.T) and the Railroad faction. Leaked casting documents which were circulated widely across the information super-highway that is the internet showed that Bethesda had voice-actors recording dialogue which made heavy reference to both the Commonwealth and the Institute. This certainly would suggest that the ruins of Boston is where Fallout 4 will take place. Less substantiated evidence suggested that Bethesda had been conducting a great deal of research in the Boston area.
