Fallout 4 Far Harbor DLC - 7 Things You Totally Missed
6. Post-Apocalyptic Titanic
Fallout games are always full of great movie references. Whether it was finding the remains of a certain fedora-wearing archeologist in a refrigerator in Fallout: New Vegas or becoming the proud owner of Dirty Harry's signature magnum in the third game, Bethesda's love of cinema has been present throughout each and every one of its titles.
Yet one scene in the latest DLC might be the developer's greatest movie reference yet. Found in the irradiated swamps near the Children of The Atom HQ, a couple of long-dead skeletons can be seen in a position that bears a striking resemblence to a scene from one of the highest grossing movies of all time.
Mimicking the ending of James Cameron's Titanic, a skeleton standing in for Rose can be found (perhaps a bit selfishly) floating on a piece of debris to escape the irradiated water below while clutching the hand of her lover who seemingly drew the short straw.
Of course the twist here is that unlike the freezing depths of the Atlantic Ocean, a bit of wood won't save you from radiation poisoning, and there isn't a happy ending for either one of the couple to be found in Far Harbor.
