Everyone knew that, say, Fallout 4 was probably going to be in Boston, but few expected the hint in the trailer that the game's protagonist will actually have a voice this time. The trailer ends with the character telling his canine buddy, "Let's go, pal", igniting furious speculation of a voice-acted protagonist and pretty much confirming it at the same time. Otherwise, it's a pretty out-of-place and weird line to put in the trailer: it seemed deliberately intended to provoke a response, and that it certainly did. It's certainly a big deal for Fallout, though of course there's the inevitable worry that requiring an actor to speak all the lines may result in the presence of less dialogue than previous games. A firm compromise would be to have the voice actor speak only the most pertinent scenes during story missions, and have peripheral content merely appear as text.
