Fallout 5: 10 Things It Must Include

7. Drastically Improved Quest Design

Fallout 5
Bethesda

Fallout 4 saw not only the beginnings of settlements that the player could create, but also the side-quests that the player would have to complete to free those settlements. They were redundant and boring in most cases. They could be solved by Bethesda making them more unique and spending a little more time on them. They could also go the option of removing settlements in Fallout 5 and we wouldn’t have to worry about this problem.

In addition to improvements on the settlement system, Bethesda should remove radiant, never ending “another settlement needs your help” quests and put a greater focus on their excellent side quests that have made Fallout so enjoyable and replayable over the years.

These radiant quests quickly become boring and repetitive and therefore Bethesda should put their focus on the unique side quests that have played a significant role in Fallout’s extreme popularity and success.

Some of the most memorable and distinct Fallout moments have come from side quests. Think of the USS Constitution launching into the Boston skyline in Fallout 4 or the Mechanist and AntAgonizer’s battle in the Capital Wasteland in Fallout 3.

Building on these such quests and adding more of them would make Fallout 5 the most memorable and replayable game in the series.
