Fallout: Ranking Every Add-On From Worst To Best

5. Point Lookout (Fallout 3)

Fallout New Vegas Old World Blues
Bethesda

For the longest time, Fallout 3's Point Lookout was considered to be the standard of Fallout DLC and rightly so.

The game's biggest add-on in terms of brand-new content, Point Lookout allowed players to venture from the Capital Wasteland to the swamps of Maryland, where there was an abundance of new areas to explore, characters to meet, and creatures to fight.

Point Lookout's overall tone is also beyond chilling and the dark journey you take through the area is chock-full of terrifying enemies, as well as other elements, that wouldn't look out of place in a horror game. (The horror factor isn't quite on a Dead Money level, mind you, but it comes close.)

This add-on also comes complete with rewarding quests and interesting storylines that are more than enough to keep you immersed while adding layers to the already exceptional worldbuilding of Fallout 3.

If you had to choose only one Fallout 3 DLC to purchase prior to beating the game (and moving on to Broken Steel), Point Lookout is easily the best option.
