Fallout: Ranking Every Add-On From Worst To Best

2. Far Harbor (Fallout 4)

Fallout New Vegas Old World Blues
Bethesda

The massive Far Harbor expansion is not only Fallout 4's best add-on, it's one of the single-best parts of Fallout 4 period.

Between the vast new area to explore, the strange new creatures to fight and equipment to fight them with, the fantastic sense of mystery, and trippy visuals that result in hours upon hours of fresh content, Far Harbor basically contains everything that made Fallout 3's Point Lookout great turned up to eleven.

From the very moment your character's rinky-dink boat makes landfall in Maine, it becomes abundantly clear how much different your trek through the murky island will be to your exploits in the Commonwealth.

Not only that, but Far Harbor's story also has a little bit of everything. There's family drama (which is escalated if you bring Nick Valentine along for the ride), a few supernatural elements, civilians fighting for survival, and a bizarre Synth governor whose goals force the player to answer the age-old question of if the end justifies the means.

Combine all of that with an overarching theme of finding your place in everything as you venture through an uncertain world (walking in the fog, as it were) and you have a terrific, captivating addition to the Fallout catalog.
