Fallout Season 1 Review - 10 Ups & 2 Downs
1. Up: There's So Much Story Left To Tell
Again, no spoilers, but it probably won't surprise anyone reading this that Fallout's first season ends with a large collection of promising cliffhangers, each more well-earned than the last.
The fates of Lucy, Maximus and The Ghoul are still plagued with lingering question marks, their stories, by-and-large, just getting started. Likewise, their various friends and enemies have also been left with tales to tell, their next moves unclear but surely destined to leave an indelible impression for those left standing.
War is on the horizon, there are plenty of secrets left to unfurl, and there's a sense that, despite all they've already been through, these characters still have so much to contend with - and so many new foes and heartaches to face - before they can reach anything resembling compelling closure.
As of this writing, Fallout hasn't been renewed for a second season, but it's surely inevitable. This season hasn't just been a hit with audiences, it's also been one of the finest shows of the year so far, and with only eight episodes to its name, it's impossible to deny this is one small screen gem destined to become something very special indeed.
