Far Cry 3 Delayed Until November 29th For EU, Dec 4th in US
The first person shooter was originally scheduled to be released on September 4th, but has now been pushed back to November 29th in Europe and will be available stateside December 4th.
Ubisoft announced today that Far Cry 3 has been delayed until the fall. The first person shooter was originally scheduled to be released on September 4th, but has now been pushed back to November 29th in Europe and will be available stateside December 4th. There was no reason given for the delay, but it raises a large alarm for the game's future. November is a packed month with triple AAA first person shooters from competing publishers. The headliners of the month are both Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and Halo 4, while Medal of Honor: Warfighter is set for release on October 30th. Is there enough room for Far Cry 3 to succeed or is Ubisoft setting it up to fail?
"Today, after a successful showing at E3 that saw the company take home more than 100 awards, Ubisoft provided updated release dates for some of its biggest titles being launched this year," said Ubisoft.Along with Far Cry 3, Just Dance 4 and Rocksmith also saw revised release dates. Just Dance 4 will launch on October 2nd and Rocksmith has now been moved up to September 28th.
