Far Cry Primal: 9 Things You Didn't Know You Could Do
8. Survive In The Arctic Regions Without Crafted Clothing
After a few hours wandering the primitive tundra, you'll most likely venture towards the North-East of the map, and the more arctic regions, thereby prompting a message from the game that you need to craft some better winter gear to continue. Not true. Although completing the requisite crafting menu nets you a slower drain on the 'Cold' meter, there are multiple ways to complete this area without having to go foraging for badger skins. Firstly, ensure you have enough animal fat to keep your weapons ignited. Simply having any weapon burning will keep the meter topped up. Second, the bonfires/checkpoints you come across have an invisible 'radius' of heat that if you wander into, will recoup any lost meter burn, meaning you can set off again towards the next one. You can even fire an arrow into any flammable material and watch yourself get warmed up in the ensuing, potentially death-bringing blaze. Mmm... toasty.
