1. NASL Soccer (Intellivision)
Ah, the game that started it all. NASL Soccer was one of the first soccer games to be released on home consoles. It also pioneered the stadium view that is the common place in every soccer game today. NASL Soccer was released in 1980. It came equipped with the game specific overlay and everything. The game was also released in 1982 on the Atari 2600 with better controls and sharper graphics. I used to play NASL Soccer at my grandpas house whenever I was bored. It was an awesome feeling playing multiplayer and laying the smack down on your little siblings. While NASL Soccer might not withstand the age of time very well, I have to give it props for beginning to pioneer a genre that would become one of the best selling of all time.
