FIFA 13: 7 Small Details EA Got Right And 3 They Got Wrong

2. Managers On The Touchline Are Generic One of the small things that EA have added to the FIFA series this year is team managers standing on the touchline. Playing as Manchester United, and you will see the back of a manager wearing what looks to be Sir Alex Ferguson's trademark black overcoat. Now, EA thought we would see this and think, "Oh, cool, they put Fergie in the game!" However, EA didn't take the more astute among us into account. A quick trip to the instant replay feature after receiving the ball near the dugout, combined with changing the angles so that the camera is facing the dugout rather than away from it, and it becomes clear that Sir Alex Ferguson, or every other manager for that matter, is in fact a default, generic model. Disappointment. In 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa, the models of each nations manager were actually implemented into cut scenes for extra realism. It is a pity that EA couldn't have done that with '13, at least for a couple of the more well known managers. A cool, small detail that ultimately proved to be a bit laughable.
