FIFA 13: 7 Ways To Dominate Your Opponents

1. Ping Pong Passing

For all the improvements FIFA 13 have implemented, ping pong passing still yields the best results. First touch control makes it a small bit more difficult but it's nothing that you won't get used to after 10 games. It's easy to zip the ball around at pace, dragging defenders out of position and in the process, opening gaps. Most games will be decided by ping pong passing as it is possible to one touch pass the whole way up the pitch and score on a regular basis. There's not much you can do to combat it other than get bodies in the way. The best way to attack at pace is to involve your whole team. Pass the ball from your full back to winger to midfielder and then switch to the other wing. Keep the passes sharp and accurate and try to isolate slower players. Teams like Arsenal and Juventus dominate midfield battles easily because of superior technique so use those when starting out in Head to Head seasons and friendlies with your friends. For Ultimate Team, buy at least one good passer for every line of your formation. You will want a centre half with at least 70+ passing, a technically gifted midfielder and a wide player in the mould of Nasri. Create triangles like Barcelona and always keep a man open. It's all about mixing it up and changing how you go about breaking down your opponents defensive line. A player who abuses speedy wingers every single time won't offer a shooting threat. A player who primarily plays over the top through balls won't use the wings as much so you can contain with your full backs. If you are constantly changing your style, you can keep your opponent guessing. Check back next week for my "Top Tips To Dominate In PES 2013".
