Demo Rating: 82 Thomas Vermaelen has to deal with the unfortunate fact that he looks like a Bond villain; but that shouldnt hamper the fact that he is the difference between Arsenals defence looking mid-table and looking like Champions League worthy players. Hes powerful, technically brilliant and a great defensive organiser who really makes a difference to Arsenal and is one of the top defenders in the league; and this should surely merit a higher rating than 82? Why yes, this is good, he is streets better than the other defenders Arsenal have on their books and their brilliant defensive start to the season should merit an upgrade for an underrated player.
